HOW WE WORK
Amelia Interior Design is a full service design firm. The initial consultations, cad drawings, client meetings, site visits and design concepts are incorporated into each project. After a design concept is agreed upon, we search manufactures and custom craftsman, pulling a project together from interior layout, lighting design, to furniture layout and procurement, window treatment design and procurement, and accessory choices that coordinate the project. Each project contains artistic elements with all furnishings and design concepts as part of those elements.
The
projects are typically divided into phases depending on the size
and scope of the project with client approval over each phase. The
hourly rate is $120.00 and a retainer of the first 40 hours, or
$4800 is required along with a signed agreement laying out the scope
and nature of the project. After the first 40 hours has become depleted,
the client will be asked to pay for an additional 20 hours. If only
a portion of the original 40 hours is used, then the client can
be credited towards purchases or reimbursed for time not used.
The
subjective nature of design/illustration/writing does not permit
us to give firm bids or quotes. However, we do carry a very complete
in-house library of sample and product information making our
work incredibly fast and efficient. Time billed includes research
time, client meeting time, and any travel time necessary. Subsequent
meetings and client alterations from original presentation are
considered part of the billable time.
