| RITA SCHOLZ
Born and raised in Ohio, the Ohio State University
graduate has worked on projects in New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania,
Illinois, and Florida. Scholz is nationally accredited by The National
Council of Interior Design Qualifications (NCDIQ) and is a Florida
state licensed professional devoted to promoting the profession
of Interior Design. Scholz is active in local and state chapters
of American Society of Interior Designers (ASID) and is a past president
of the Florida North ASID state Chapter. Rita is presently state
president of the Florida Interior Design Association Foundation
(IDAF) and is credited with numerous Interior Design editorials
providing leadership, education and encouragement to all Interior
Designers throughout the state of Florida.
As an award winning designer, Rita Scholz was
featured in Jacksonville Magazine’s “My Favorite Spaces”
and Jacksonville Design magazine’s “Best of the Best”.
The interior design community has recognized her commitment to quality
and uniqueness of design solutions. Scholz’s current projects
include luxury home developments, renovation projects, and commercial
space planning. Her work in historical homes on Amelia Island is
being seen through national interior design publications.
Before creating Amelia Interior Design and becoming
one of North Florida’s most well known interior design firms,
Scholz’s experience includes operating a design operation
in Cleveland, Ohio and working with such prestigious corporate clients
as The Glidden Company, Sherwin Williams Company, The Cleveland
Clinic, The Kirby Company and the Marriott.
Rita has been a resident of Amelia Island for nine years, and loves
the natural setting and ambience of Amelia. When she is not creating
signature interiors, she enjoys spending time with her two young
adult children, enjoying Amelia with friends, and traveling the
world.
